Home to Home Agreement

Introduction

At Weston Way Nursery School, we believe in creating a ‘Home from Home’ environment where families, children, and staff work together to support each child's learning and development. This agreement outlines our shared responsibilities and commitments to ensure a positive and enriching experience for every child.

🌼 Nursery Commitments

We, the staff team of Co-adventurers of Weston Way Nursery School, will:

Provide a Safe and Nurturing Environment

    • Promote a culture of respect and inclusion for all children and families.
    • Support all children in feeling safe, secure, and happy at nursery.

Deliver Quality Education

    • Offer a curriculum that is engaging, stimulating, and tailored to meet the needs of each child.
    • Regularly assess and monitor children's progress and development.

Communicate Effectively

    • Keep parents informed about their child's progress and any important nursery updates.
    • Provide opportunities for parents to discuss their child's learning and development.
    • First day response to families if no reason for absence has been provided.

Support Families

    • Offer guidance and support to parents in promoting their child's learning at home.
    • Provide resources and information about community services that may assist families.

👪 Parent/Carer Commitment(s)

I/We, the parent/carer(s), will:

Communicate with the Nursery

    • Inform the nursery of any changes in circumstances that may affect my child's well-being or learning.
    • Attend parent meetings and events to stay informed and involved.
    • Keep updated via all nursery medias, e.g. newsletter, website, tapestry

Promote Positive Behaviour

    • Encourage my child to be respectful, kind, and responsible towards others following the nursery values.
    • Support the nursery's policies on behaviour and attendance.

Engage with the Nursery Community

    • Participate in nursery events and activities to foster a sense of belonging.
    • Share any concerns or suggestions with the nursery staff in a constructive manner.
    • Provide my child with apprioriate clothing so children can access all learning opportunities safely.

Support Learning at Home

    • Encourage my child to engage in learning activities and play at home.
    • Share books with my child regularly and promote a love for books.

Health & Attendance

  • Ensure my child attends nursery regularly and on time.
  • Inform the nursery promptly about absences or any changes at home that may affect my child.
  • Inform the nursery of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary requirements.
  • Provide accurate emergency contact details and update them as needed.

Online Safety

  • Agree to the guidance set out in our online safety policy in order to protect children, staff and families in a digital world.

Payments

  • Agree to pay invoices by the due date.

  • Support the social, emotional, and educational development of the child.
